Our story
we're day dreamers and wedding makers,
we love being a part of your day.
Meet Kara, the owner and head planner of KM Weddings. Born and raised in Hampton Roads, she dreamed of planning her own wedding one day but never imagining she'd fall in love with planning weddings for others. She always had a love of events, parties, and ensuring people always felt celebrated and loved.
She attended Longwood University where she immersed herself in campus life, dancing, producing the University's news channel, and serving in ZTA sorority leadership. During her time there, she interned with a local wedding planner where she instantly fell in love with the wedding industry.
That internship was 2014 and Kara hasn't stopped since. She branched out on her own in 2018 and KM Weddings was born. The dream of owning her own wedding planning company has exceeded all expectations. Her favorite thing about a wedding is that it brings together a group of people that would otherwise not be together. It is a moment in time that allows couples to cherish their people and celebrate with them.

Loren's journey in the wedding industry began in Austin, Texas in 2017. She's a proud mama, a fashion and design enthusiast, and has a deep love for coffee shops! What Loren cherishes most about her work is building strong relationships with her clients, ensuring they know she's fully invested in making their special day unforgettable.
Sara, originally from Pittsburgh but a resident of the Hampton Roads area for the past 15 years, became a 2020 pandemic bride (thanks to Kara Morgan Weddings & Events). She's a proud new mom to a beautiful boy, an ODU graduate, and a
die-hard fan of all things Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers! Sara's favorite aspect of weddings is witnessing the union of a couple throughout the ceremony.
Chloe entered the wedding industry in 2019 and has since gained valuable experience as a venue coordinator, catering team member, and working with various planners. She thrives on being by the couple's side on their special day, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Chloe's diverse experience enables her to manage weddings and providing comprehensive oversight and insight into every aspect of the celebration.

KM is fortunate to have a certified designer on our team: Rachel, who holds a design certification from the prestigious New York Institute of Art + Design. With her deep passion for both design and weddings, Rachel expertly blends these interests to create thoughtfully crafted and beautiful wedding designs for our couples.

Design is where her heart truly lies—she loves nothing more than taking a simple idea and transforming it into something extraordinary.
