Abby & Ryan’s Spring Wedding

KM

I met Abby in January via Zoom and could tell her and Ryan would be the perfect match for the KM team. I was lucky enough to instantly click with them and form a connection to where I can call them friends. Working with Abby through the planning process was such a joy. She brought so many fun ideas to the table and I was happy to help bring them to life.

Their reception was originally set for Fort Monroe, but when COVID restrictions made that impossible, we worked together to find them a new wedding venue. They ended up loving Limitless in Chesapeake. We worked with them on how guests would get from the ceremony to reception, a new layout, communicating with vendors about the venue change, and more. Even with those last-minute changes, their wedding day was perfect and a true representation of their relationship. Abby & Ryan’s spring wedding day was full of romance, family, and games!

Ceremony

Surrounded by their loved ones, in a beautiful modern church these two said “I DO”. You could feel the love between the two of them and all of their guests. Their original officiant couldn’t make it but sent in a surprise video that was played during the opening remarks. You could see their faces light up when it started playing. Their ceremony was beautiful and a true representation of them.

After the ceremony, guests started heading to their reception venue where we had staff waiting to greet them and welcome them in. With having a separate location fo the reception, they decided not to have a full cocktail hour but a mix and mingle when you arrive. Guests were able to chat with one another, find their reception table, grab some snacks while they await the arrival of Abby & Ryan. Even with the two locations, we were able to run everything right on schedule, which made my type-a heart so happy.

Reception

Their reception was filled with delicious BBQ style food, games, toasts, and love. Abby even surprised Ryan with a ping pong table. I don’t think I have ever had so much fun watching a ping pong game! The games got intense and competitive, you could tell these families love to have a good time. They even had Cornhole and Kan Jam outside for some extra entertainment.

Grand Finale

Their wedding day ended with one of the best cake smashes we’ve seen and our new favorite exit! Instead of a normal sparkler exit, they decided to do a sparkler last dance. This was a super sweet moment and the perfect way to end the night. All of the guests grabbed a sparkler, gathered around them in a semi circle and got to be a part of their final moment of the evening.

Abby & Ryan, we have seriously enjoyed having you as a KM couple. From meeting you in January to bringing your wedding day to life, it has been a joy to get to know you. You guys are the perfect representation of true love. Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your day!
